An 81-year-old woman who denies harassment and breaching an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo), is to stand trial.

Dorothy Evans was granted conditional bail ahead of a trial

Dorothy Evans pleaded not guilty to two counts of harassment and six breaches of an Asbo imposed in May 2005.

Allegations were made against Mrs Evans by her neighbours in Abergavenny, south Wales, between January and June 2006.

Judge Christopher Llewellyn-Jones QC adjourned the case at Newport Crown Court for a three-day trial.

The case will be heard as soon as possible after the next three weeks.

The pensioner was granted bail on the condition that she does not contact any prosecution witnesses or neighbours Roberto and Angela Casa or their family.
