Tis the season for Christmas Party surveys

Sleeping with colleagues and arguing with the boss top the list of antics Brits get up to at their Christmas do, according to a new survey yesterday (sun).

More than 10 per cent of people admit to sleeping with a colleague and five per cent have argued with the boss.

Unsurprisingly, almost a quarter of people dread going into work the next day and 22 per cent have had to be reminded of their exploits by colleagues.

One in 20 is planning to sleep with a colleague or boss and 10 per cent are planning to have a Christmas kiss under the mistletoe, a survey by Nando's chicken restaurants revealed.

Half won't be taking their partner to the party and almost a quarter of those say this is so they can flirt with their colleagues.

Love could be in air for some though as more than 10 per cent have got their eye on someone at work and think they'll get together at the Christmas party.

But it's not all going to be friendly with five per cent of people planning to confront their boss or colleague about an ongoing problem.

Despite the drama, two thirds think a Christmas party helps to bond the team and 60 per cent say they often find themselves talking to people they wouldn't normally speak to at work.

More than half of the 2000 people who took part in the survey are looking forward to their Christmas party and 40 per cent will be shopping for a new outfit to wear.

Unsurprisingly, only 10 per cent of men are planning to hit the shops compared to more than 50 per cent of women.

A spokesman for Nando's said: ''These results are amusing, Christmas Do's are renowned for creating a bit of office scandal and gossip.

''British people work the longest hours in Europe so it's only natural that workers want to let their hair down at the Christmas party.

''Apart from the usual antics of getting drunk and general mayhem, the office Christmas party is a chance to bond with your colleagues and Brits should relish the chance to have some time away from the hum-drum of the office.''

Three per cent of people have resorted to leaving their job after their behaviour at the Christmas party.

A quarter of folk prefer to leave their other half at home on the night of the Christmas party so they can let they're hair down and flirt with other colleagues.

One in twenty leave their spouse at home because they said they are embarrassed by them.
