The Illegal War in Iraq

Firstly, is there evidence (Please, not 20 pages of cut n' paste of articles and other sites) - just a summing up clearly, in few words of what has been done - why it's illegal and who is responsible..

Given we've got past stage one without hundreds of cut n' paste excercises - In your opinion, who then can pursue this and what course of action is required by the international community - which workable arrangements can be put in place and what safeguards can be put in place to ensure this doesn't happen again elsewhere. What compensation and which ideals can be brought about to bring peace back to Iraq and that region?

Given that we stop it happening elsewhere - do people need to take the blame and are court proceedings out of the question - if not - which courts and where - how far should these proceedings go and who ratifies them?

Also, as an aside, have the UN shown themselves to be useful or redundant? Are other alliances / organisations required to act as peacekeepers if the UN aren't up to the job?
