Having spent years with a basic compact camera I'm looking to get a new Digital SLR...have bought a few mag's and the Canon 400D seems to get good reviews, anyone got one or something similar that they would recommend buying. Basically want something I can use to start taking photography a bit more seriously, am about to take a part time course on digital photography and want something pretty decent...don't want to spend much more than 600 notes on it though.

 

Oh and has anyone done an evening course (London area) on digital photography they would recommend.

 

Any advice appreciated...cheers.
