Bottled it when LFC scouts went to watch him play for Tranmere apparently. According to an interview on the offish, he always wanted to play for us, but his nerves let him down at the crucial time.

He went to my school - Quarry Bank (now Calderstones).

 

He was in the same class as my brother, Vlad's Quiff.
