i watched that in a pub in ealing with a geordie toon fan. i don't think i've ever seen anyone slink away so muted (and angry) as that feller.

I was watching it in O'Neill's after work (in Dunnes Stores -- clang!) and three of us promised to give up smoking if we scored a winner. I threw my fags into the bin behind the bar when Robbie scored.

 

Totally got the barman to fish them out two pints later.

I was listening on the radio. When their third went in i switched off and stormed out for a walk. Came back in, switched on the news to see a once-in-a-lifetime cross from Stig and Fowler heading the ball in.

 

Since then i have never left a game early.
