Our Forwards Natural Progression

We don't let our strikers play the roles that attracted us to them in the first place. Our forwards spend too much time 30 yards out with their backs to goal fighting off two men instead of getting into positions that allowed them to score freely for their previous clubs (Kuyt and Bellamy). The final ball through to them isn't good enough, and they are left to create their own opportunities out of nothing.

There's one.

It's all Morientes fault.

If he'd have stayed we'd have been banging them in. Discuss.

Plus the fact that Fowler has been treated like a dog. Discuss.

Livid as a cut snake.

Kuyt missed two chances unmarked in the penalty box

Gerrard's fault.

FACT!

If both of them had developed an inkling for placing the ball instead of trying to rocket it at every opportunity then we would be runaway premier leaders. Discuss.

the current leader have 13 points, we've only played 4 times so the most we could have is 12, therefore there is no way we could be runaway premier leaders.

To be fair thats the first time Kuyt has blasted the ball. He's previously had good placed efforts saved.

Anyway, who's to say it isn't the right thing to do against Cech anyway? Their keeper is awesome at saving pretty much anything, but you've always got a chance with a powerful shot (as long as it's on target).

The first one was a cracking effort that was very unlucky

Second one was very bad

I think he'll be alright, he'll score soon enough. Bellamy's more of a worry as he's getting no services hence no real chances at all. When he's given good chances he's scored most of them
