Gerrard for being the only one looking likely to score. Sorry.

Its a sad state of affairs when you have to apologise for giving our captain your MOM. I had him second and don't apologise for it at all.

unfortunately people judge Gerrard performances by different standards, also playing him on the right is basically attempting to play him in two posistions which brings negatives as well as the positives.

momo. easily. he was sensational. the rest didnt play anywhere near where they could

momo was ok, that's all. not sensational.

yesterday's shambles doesn't warrant a MOTM award.

I disagree. Momo was great and is developing at an astonishing rate in all aspects of his game. One of the thigns I watched for yesterday was how he dealt with receiving the ball in a tight situation. He almost always had a first good touch which created space and found a decent option. Almost every game he brings something new to the table that he hasn't before - whether it's some new level of composure or a bit of skill (that backheel/drag to Gerrard was fantastic). It's a case of 5 steps forward and 1 step back with him and it's wonderful to see. He is going to be world class within 3 years. There, I've said it - laugh at me if you want, I don't care.

I just anticipate no one else agreeing with me is all. No one stood out at all for me, except of course the errors at the back and Gerrard being the only one who looked like he was going to score. Attacking wise I thought SG did ok but was nowhere to be seen for the first goal, maybe I'm bein harsh but I would expect the right midfielder to be atleast in the vicinity of the area when the whole team gets dragged across to the left (including the right back). Momo also did ok but no where near his best. Likewise with gerrard I thought he made one big mistake and that was to s*** out of a header against phil neville (i think) that led to the ball being easily knocked out to the everton right win their 2nd(or first) goal. Initially sami cleared a ball in i think and it was up in the air, momo vs neville and momo backed off. Dont expect many people to agree with me and maybe I'm being harsh but just the way I saw it.

Momo and stevie were our best players, captain just edging it for being our only attacking threat.

And incidentally, we're only going to get the best out of gerrard on the right if he gets the ball regularly. That's not gonna happen with Xabi having a stinker, same goes for England and Lampard.
