Religious Bigotry in Liverpool

I was brought up in Speke by Southern Irish parents along with my brother and sister. We were talking over the weekend and none of us ever experienced any religious bigotry during all the years we've lived there. In fact, my Mum said she used to help her Orange Lodge nieghbours get the children ready for the Orange Day paraded when she lived in the Dingle. Can't see that happening in Glasgow somehow....

Were we the only luck ones and what's it like for youngters nowadays?
