In-ear headphones

I've asked a few times and been directed to some excellent models. One problem though is that the very best ones are more expensive than my iPod... (Sure E5 for example). I can't see the point of going that far tbh... The overall sound qualty must be limited by the 'worst' piece of equipment in the system.

 

Right now I use some Philips active sound reduction headphones (my kid nicked my Sony & Apple in-ear efforts).

 

For best result s though. I always turn to the hi-fi (which is a monster).
