2001 FACF

watched it in full last night. It really isn't the mullering most people remember it as. I remember little of it, as I was larruped.

 

1st half was pretty dull, the hand of Henchoz saved us. We had a few half chances & they defended well.

 

2nd half, they brightened up & started to get going from about the 55th min. We were fortunate (ish) on a couple of occassions - Sami clearing off the line twice, but at 0-0 Seaman made a very good reflex save from a Heskey header.

 

They had a lot more of the ball, but we had chances too - Stevie blasted one just over after a Didi shot was blocked - and they were defending very solidly. We were rarely living by the skin of our teeth though.

 

The last 10 mins were 1-way traffic & after the equalizer, they were shot
