Reina's penalty saves

It looked to me like Pepe was actually waiting very very late before deciding which way to dive. You could tell on the Sheringham one where he didn't bother to dive that he'd been decieved but on the others he seemed to read it brilliantly.

 

The penalty save from Zamoron was amazing.

 

I like the way when he makes a mistake he doesn't let it bother him. I thought he was unlucky to be punished on the second goal and the third I didn't see as his fault - just a freak goal. The saves at the start of the second half were really important and the hand on the one heading for the top corner at the end was amazing.

 

I also love the way he was very self critical at the end despite the penatly saves.

Does anyone know how his peno record stands?

 

I know it was 7 saved out of 9 last year and of course 3 out of 5 this year but does anyone know how his overall record? And show some proove if possible, cause my brother does not belive that any keeper can have a record even close to his.. I heard a while ago it was something like 17/25 but can anyone clarify this?

He has a 75 percent success rate. Can anyone remember Hislop making a save today...?

The best thing about Reina is he is under no false illusions of 'being the star', etc. In his interview with Garth Crotch he said he wasn't happy with himself and needed to improve in games like these. Good on him.

I told everyone before the pennos that he was gonna save at least 3. He made a mistake for the 2nd goal but the rest of his display was pretty darn good. West Ham set themselves up well today (although they were lucky at times) and Pepe was equal to pretty much everything
