what a marvellous day it is today here in London, the Sun is shining, the sky is a cloudless, beautiful light blue and the streets, as ever, are paved with shimmering gold.

 

After the joys of the epic Ashes series last year and indifferent winter tours to Pakistan and India, England return to HQ of Lords to face an inexperienced Sri Lankan side. With Micahel Vaughan still out injured Freddie Flintoff will proudly lead his country for the first time on home soil and we're all looking forward to tucking in to some of that delicious marble cake that's been sent in to us by Mrs Binkins of Somerset.
