Rafa has said he expects all 3 main centre backs to be available for next week and his options are to bring someone else in as 4th choice or keep using the young lads. I'd go for the latter and improve the attack instead. Today will have been good experience for the youngsters and we should keep nurturing them.

I'd agree with that, which is a bonus. But I feel he looks far more comfortable sitting and keeping things ticking over.

Lucas. Some people have said he's a box to box player, I can't see it. If I was watching him for the first time I'd think he was an archetypal holding CM.

Thing with Yoss, Rafa tends to hold him back in the first part of the season and we get the benefit of that in the latter. I don't think he's consistent enough to go the whole season and we really could do with another flair option. But it's about priorities.

Not a bad return in his first season in a different league and culture playing for a s*** team who were in deep trouble for large parts of it. He's big, strong, holds the ball up well and can finish. His game would go up a notch playing for us and he wouldn't complain too much about sitting on the bench. I doubt it will happen but it's a better suggestion than some of the other names bandied about.

Pavluychenko is quality. We have 3 top quality centre backs. It would be nice to have another but not many other top sides do and they rely on an up and coming reserve.
