Mr Makaveli

hahaha ya right. They didn't even want him before.

Im pretty sure that befoer anything is signed, we'd have contacted valencia and worked outa Fee. Right so we're all agreed that if masch wants to leave (looks like he may at this stage), we want yaya and enough money to get us Villa? wonderful... let's work towards that everyone... you know what to do.

Ferguson used to be He man manymanymany many many years ago. now he just has chewing gum.

it really is only sicne the Premiership starting taking over that all these regulations to try and make football 'fairer' started coming in isn't it. you do not make something fairer by tinkering with it.... it is very obvious that the second you touch something the less fair it becomes. They just don't like the way it balances.

I didn't know this. So blatter is against child labour but he is open to discimination.

I certainly hope not. Those teams got there by earning their place... if UEFA want a machine like the american sports that rotate their success to please the entire nation then they can f*** off. I'll stick to my real, competetive football thank you.

whih is why there would be 30 million.... then lets go buy Villa and not give a toss if Yaya is as good.

This is worrying.... any description of a player involving the words 'fluffy orangey'... what are we getting here?

HE'S 29 EVERY DAY!

*spews tea*

it is never simple when you have a team of lawyers looking into EU law. "FIFA always finds a way"

well your last line there is it really, you think Rafa is buying Johnson purely on the face of his ability... maybe he is, that's just an opinion that I guess i have. Either way, let's hope he's a damn good player for us.

Im not at all confused. I was waiting for someone to point out the difference so I could make a point. That point is that FIFA, will find a way to make their 6-5 rule legal. They want it bad and they'll get it in some shape or form. Some loophole or another, they will get it.

it is a nice loophole for discriminating against race though isn't it

why come out in the press and warn a player that he must return to training on said date.........one month from now? 'Napoli want to sell player' - The Times

NO HE'S NOT!

Erm, we'll see.

if the 6 5 rule is illegal then surely the 4 4 homegrown ruling for CL squads is also illegal?

agree with this. A player is worth what the manager wants to pay for him. Since when has this never been the case? Just because football has actually turned into football manager doesn't make it any less real ;p

football has been different before.. Bosman ruling...

I don't know why people keep talking about this £7 million that they owe us like it's some kind of coupon. It is money that is already accounted for and you can't just write it off like that. it's not a discount, it's still £18 million. and yes, it is against EU law but FIFA are doing what they can to work out a way to get this through. i think they will too.

last i heard it is coming in alright. Even though it goes against EU law in a way, I think they just have to work out a way for it not too. I have heard that they may start it off as a 4-5 thent he season after 6-5, or so.

With the 6-5 rule coming in, English players become more valuable to enlish teams... if you think about it, especially the non spine positions, as of course the best teams will have the best players from around the world in the central areas, then try adn fill where they can with as good as england has to offer. it's a great deal.

'Ferguson wants Torres - In a sex way!' with sex.

The reason we are buying Johnson is because of the 6 5 rule that is coming in. He's what? 24? , he's at least a decent right back and he is replacing one of the weaker positions in our foreign first 11 (even though I do rate Arbeloa).... it's purely cause he's at least as good as him and English. That is why we're signing him and its a great move. it's either that or swap Alonso with Barry (who is 2 years older than him and not as good...hmmm)
