  1. Interesting that some people struggle with 3 :wacko:/> Nice pic tho sion and it kind of sums it up
  2. Poor bloody poor
  3. The youth is looking very promising at the moment and I feel that this is having an effect of the transfers. If the likes of Sterling, Suso, Tex and Ibe continue with their exceptional progress and added to Sturridge and Suarez we will need very little influx in the forward positions. Defensively we are a joke. The Skirt, Toure and Sossokho need to take a good long hard look at themselves Having said that, we will outscore most people
  4. Hendo Sturridge Sterling
  5. Interesting, I dont know what he meant then. Could be full of it mate. Lets just see what happens.
  6. Lol he showed me a photo taken on his phone of susos ex and his mrs. Then another of suso and enrique so it appeared ok? As you say mate time will tell. I would love it to be true and will pass on anything else he feeds. Just be aware though if this falls through then..... well you know the score.
  7. Perhaps he meant take up post? Ive no idea if he has or hasnt to be honest?
  8. A guy I work with knows Suso's now ex-Gf. He told me last week that Suso was off to almera on a season long loan. Nothing in the press and I waited. Sure enough 3 days later it filtered through and announced. Unfortunately Suso did not take her with him and she us gutted. Anyway, he now says that Suarez is off and they are waiting for Pep to be officially announced as manager. This Aparently has come from another Liverpool player. Time will tell and I am sceptical but seems to have at least some credence
  9. Suarez to Bayern within two weeks!!

  11. It appears that BR has a number of items on the agenda and all have to fall into place to take us forward. The existing wage bill was and is, for the owners a problem and had to be reduced. BR has to bring in players that firstly will not compound the wage bill but in fact reduce it. In addition and more importantly for him as manager, the players being brought in have to improve the side and be able to get us into the top 4 and Europe once again. These players have to buy into his vision and be of a certain type of player, an Andy Carroll style for instance, just would not work. There are only a few players around that play in the positions that he is looking to fill, that will meet this. If for example, Real Madrid, Top team in Spain and Europe want a defender they have the funds and things to offer. They will be able to attract almost every defender in the world and can pick and choose. We on the other hand, at the moment, can not but must be careful to bring in the right player. I would imagine that the likes of Mhkitaryan and his agent would have been swayed to join Liverpool but the premiums that we would have had to have paid would have been astronomical and outside of our current wage structure
  12. Agreed. Finding the right player now who is firstly, young enough to give us time to get into Europe again and secondly can come into the first team NOW to improve it has to be the priority. The player has to buy into the vision that BR has and to have the trust that the plan is a viable one and can take the club forward
  13. STOP!!! Go and hose yourself down!!! Having said that its probably right on the agenda of many of these sites right now and really would stir things up lol
  14. Thank f*** that Xabi came out quick and stomped all over this ridiculous story. Now the media have to focus their attention on the next player who has no chance or signing for us, Ronaldo perhaps?
  15. Yeah I agree, I don't think he is staying either but its made me think about the reasons for not pushing through the HM move. I also think it is strange now to see the "Chelsea/Arsenal" links with Suarez. The next few weeks of the Suarez saga will be interesting!!
  16. Mkhitaryan plays just behind the striker, Coutinho played there and did very well at the end of last season when Gerrard was out injured. Scored a cracker too. Liverpool always do their business quietly but this Palkin fella says nothing has come from us. I dont know if the club have had any contact with Suarez yet or whether an official transfer request has come in. What I would expect however is that if he is staying, the club come out and make a statement to that fact. If and I do say if, he has told the club that he is staying, it could be a reason for increasing the HM bid.
  17. Allot of people views now are that Mkhitaryan is not joining us because we can not offer CL football, I don t buy that. From what we have read over and over there appear a number of things mentioned over and over 1. Sergei Palkin (reading from many reports and sources) stated quite clearly that the club would not accept anything less than 30m Euros. No one to date has offered that. 2. Many reports state that Liverpool FC have made an offer which is below the required (see 1.) 3. It appears that Dortmund have offered 25m Euros and a new feed says we have matched that. 4. The Echo reported that we were confident that we could secure his services. If we had not reached the agreed fee with the club then surely the reference had to mean that we had spoken to the player or agent? 5. Far too many stories reporting this and that which have proven so far to have no real foundation. Palkin continues to say that he has had no communication with Mkhitaryan, this means that he is in hiding for some reason and his agent must be actively trying to secure a deal. Who it is with is apparently between us and Dortmund. This is not over just yet and I see one final twist and potentially the future of Suarez might have a big say in it. As for Xabi, I love the guy and would love to see him back at the club because he is Xabi. However, I don't know if this is the direction that the club would like to go and whilst his passing is second to none, I don't see him as a replacement for the likes of Mkhitaryan. I am taking these reports with a pinch of salt.
  18. The urgency was that a quality player was coming to the end of his contract and was looking for a move. His potential is very good and after being sounded out, was keen on the move. Pepe, whilst still being quality, has not been up to the standard he was three or four seasons ago. In addition it appears that Barca will be looing for a new keeper in the next 6 to 12 months with Pepe being the obvious choice and probable replacement. Bring Mignolet in now and have him up to speed with the club, the structure and the team prior to Pepe leaving. Good move in my opinion. The Mkhitaryan stuff I'm baffled about. Story after story made in the press about us being on the verge of signing him. Sightings in hotels etc reminds me of "Zidane in the Southport estate agents" and reports from Ivan. I'm not sure if this story has finished yet. BR stated that he looked to bring in another attacking midfielder and a defender. Assuming that Suarez goes, I guess this is where the money will come from?
  19. Would indicate that Miki has been living in Melwood during his time in the UK perhaps? He was photo'd in London where the initial meeting took place and "perhaps" the meeting went well and it was "suggested" that he had a stop by at Melwood but because of his fame perhaps it was suggested that he remained at Melwood for a day or so? Far fetched? Explain £35m for Carrol then
  20. You felt the need to edit this post? Perhaps it was a spelling mistake right?
  21. I think the intention of buying the players we have (or are) is to bring more creativity to the team. Players like Spearing, Downing, Shelvey, Assaidi have not offered enough going forward. The additions of Aspas, Alberto, Sturridge and Coutinho, IMO, offer a great deal more in the final 3rd. If we are able to add to that Mkhitaryan who appears to both score and have a high level of creativity then we will potentially score more. On other thing is that it offers more competition and coverage if and when a player goes through a drop in form.In the past we have been limited and had to play players like Sterling, who I think has the potential to be a top quality player. But at present should be nurtured and allowed to improve steadily. I believe that for once we are doing the right thing in the market. I also expect some more names to be leaving the club quite quickly as this will allow the funds to improve in a number of areas. Also, it is worth remebering that those at the top wanted to reduce the wage bill. If this is true then it would show what kind of person Mkhitaryan is http://www.insidefutbol.com/2013/06/27/anzhi-makhachkala-wave-chequebook-to-hijack-liverpool-henrikh-mkhitaryan-swoop/90479/
