agree totally with red mist on both posts, except i give the mom and 9 to Gerrard, behaved like the great captain he is. kewell is the only out and out winger we have in the squad...he is improving with every game, but still lacks pace and confidence to take players on. he only succeeded once to cross from the byline today. Garcia we all know he is not an out and out winger and today was not of his best outings imho. too wasteful and not productive enough. his best moments were in the last 20mins of the match. we really need to add more out and out wingers to the squad. These will provide with more clear-cut chances for our forwards.

i would like more information on robbie foy....he is 20 years old and was rarely handed a chance with the first team...is he going to turn into the next ritchie partridge?

looking at his goal scoring record it s difficult not to rate mellor...he scores just for fun for the reserves...having watched him play for the first team last season i must say he was not ready to make the grade...he needs to improve his overall game a lot...he seemed slow and short of the necessary technique...which makes it obvious that there is a huge leap from reserve team to PS football.

i just hope there are sufficient funds to enable rafa to bring in his most wanted targets. what i find frustrating is that teams like spurs and newcastle who havent won anything in the last million years seem to have more financial muscle than we do.

IMO this makes perfet sense. First i want to point out that we need steed as a squad player, to add depth to the squad and just to replace the deadwoods Biscan and Diao in the pecking order. Steed would always provide to be a handy reliable substitute throughout this year and in future years. Unlike biscan or diao, he can give our team a valid contribution, as he is more technically gifted, is faster, is able to create chances and score goals. He is still very young. Would not cost too much. Can play as central mid or right mid, or even in the hole when we choose to play the 4-5-1 system, e.g in this years CL. can play in Cl. This is my case for steed. i think him and a promising keeper should be our only next buys in this january transfer window, and sell biscan, diao etc. Just the perfect buy in our current situation.
