  1. http://www.guardian.co.uk/frontpage/story/0,,2003369,00.html 'However, relations became strained recently with Moores arguing with DIC officials at the recent home game with Chelsea'..
  2. 'The point is that the noises coming from the club are that Gillett knows how to run a sports club' wouldn't be surprised if it comes down to that actually ,it was a quote I picked up on by rick parry......'They?ve (DIC) obviously been on a steep learning curve, because football is a little different to some of the traditional businesses. It helps that most of the key people we?ve been dealing with are genuinely Liverpool supporters, so they understand what we?re about' Maybe in the end DIC didn't think the hassle was worth it and have taken this opportunity to walk away with the high ground ?
  3. So lets get this straight DIC are opportunists ,c**** ,two faced ,have less winning mentality and cunning than Gillett 'DIC may have mega money to invest but they were looking to make mega money out of the club - which was almost a complete non-starter.' Also Gillett is a well known philanthropist who isn't looking to make any money out of the club whatsoever and you know all this becos you read the financial times... okay then The seven year exit stategy was rumoured to be when they either sold Liverpool on or floated them on the stock market? ,we'll never know anyway cos we only have one option left now...desperation.
  4. it did start off so promising as well.
  5. The spin is working already 'We could do with a bit more cunning and winners mentality running LFC What's more, Gillett may have saved us from a bunch of two-faced opportunists owning our club' - whats that all about ? The chief executive of DIC was so confident of a deal that he knew all about Gillett making a higher bid for the shares but crucially of all (it seems now) he dismissed it as he was confident that the Liverpool board wouldn't even consider it (now why would he think this ?) .Next thing we know is some kind of delay has happened and DIC have walked away becos it turns out that the Liverpool board will consider the Gillett offer after all. How could such a misunderstanding have taken place?
  6. 'Gillett's owned the Canadiens for six years now, and they haven't finished any better than 7th place in the Eastern Conference, along with a couple of (very poor) appearances in the Stanley Cup quarterfinals. They were worse immediately before his arrival, and may do better this year, but the record there doesn't exactly promise a return to glory at Anfield. What has improved a lot at Montreal is the club's financial situation, but I think this is small consolation to their fans. Unfortunately, I think he may be attracted to Liverpool by the prospect of getting another good income out of a famous club with a fanatical and relatively low-maintenance fanbase.' thats from a montreal canadien fan
  7. Theres me thinking David Moores knew what he was doing....how wrong can you be?

  12. 'there are factions within DIC's 11-man board who are losing faith in how much their company would make for their initial investment.' True ? or Gillett and co putting stories out to unsettle people?

  16. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_headline=e...-name_page.html anyone read the interview he gave to the mirror today ?
  17. oh good, it did come from an evertonian however
  18. there was some rumours going about that DIC would finance or own the stadium and then offer both clubs a 25 per cent share in it each ,I assume its b******s ,they couldnt' possibly do that could they ?
  19. I didn't really expect DIC to invest in new players as such anyway I just thought they were mainly brought on board to take away the financial pressure of the stadium ,so we don't have to reduce our transfer budget in the way arsenal have had to do .

    Adam Hamill

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ext/default.stm 89:23 Booking Foul by David Weir (Rangers) on Adam Hamill (Dunfermline). David Weir (Rangers) booked for unsporting behaviour. Direct free kick taken left-footed by Scott Morrison (Dunfermline) from right wing, resulting in open play
  21. put a clause into his contract that if west ham go down then he'll be off as well.
  22. However, Jon Stead has appeared for three different clubs this season (Sunderland, Derby and Sheffield United) yet, presumably, the rules don't apply if lower league clubs are involved. Is this fair? teamtalk seems a bit weird if true

  25. Injury problems Deisler has been dogged by problems since joining Bayern from Hertha BSC Berlin in 2002, especially persistent knee trouble and depression, and played 62 league games in four and a half seasons with the Bavarian club. He only returned to action in November after missing the summer's FIFA World Cup due to a serious cartilage complaint. He then picked up a thigh injury in training, ensuring a disappointing end to 2006. Bright start He made his first and only UEFA Champions League appearance of the campaign in the 1-1 draw with FC Internazionale Milano on 5 December. In total, he played 21 times in the competition, scoring three goals. Deisler first came to prominence aged 19 at VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach and big things were expected at Bayern where he did feature in the double success in 2004/05. However, his problems ultimately took their toll on a man whose first professional coach Friedel Rausch predicted would one day be "mentioned in the same breath as [Fritz] Walter, [uwe] Seeler and [Franz] Becken
