I think replacing Lovren with Ake (who can also play as a #6) would be a good move. We need a couple more versatile 2-for-1 players.

It's really down to the rest of the league to help. They need to stop losing matches against City in the first 10 minutes.

As fans we want the league the most. But in reality, the more important trophy right now is the CL. It is the one that is more important to the players (as a group), it's the one that allows us to attract better players, and it is certainly the one that will be remembered more in 50 years. Right now ever single club in Europe, including City and Barcelona and Bayern Munich, would prefer to be in our shoes (or Spurs' shoes). There is still plenty to play for this season, and we are boss.

Thank goodness we’re boss in Europe (and generally). This would hurt so much more.

That’s the problem for Spurs. A lot of their approach is dependent on being fitter than the other team. But Ajax are a bunch of 12 year olds with boundless energy.
