I've said previously that I think he's redefined the deep-lying playmaker position in the last 10 years, because he's shown that the modern player needs more in their locker to be successful in that position. He's the key to Madrid AND Spain.

You should do what Five Live do with 606 and call some of the people who have texted or tweeted and ask them if they want to discuss their "point". It happened with me last year after I sent a text in about Carroll, and ended up discussing his weaknesses with that c*** Jason Roberts. Basically, if people think others have phoned, it will push them to do so too. You're basically creating the illusion of calls coming in that way. Just an idea to help anyway, keep up the good work, it's a terrific show.

Andres Iniesta? Allen is already a good to very good player, with the ability to become absolutely superb. He's the only player really worth taking from Swansea IMO. You can make an argument for Dyer and Sinclair, but I'd much rather Sterling and Suso be given a chance. That's another discussion I suppose.....

I absolutely love it when the big tournaments are on. Really do look forwards to the games and seeing players you don't normally get to see. If we wanted a central influence, we could do worse than look at Marvin Martin. He has more assists than Hazard in the same period, playing for a lowly club too. Quite similar to Nasri, in terms of style and stature, but has a bit more bite to his game. In fact I'd take both of the Sochaux lads thinking about it.

Yeah, I was going off an article in the Guardian. The phrase was something along the lines of "Benfica didn't disclose how much they'd paid, but did say that they'd agreed the buyout clause of €45M". A Portuguese club spending as much as that would be out of the ordinary.

I was going to mention Ola John as a potential Rodgers type, but I've just seen he's signed for Benfica. Apparently they paid the €45M buyout clause for him?! s*** the bed. I've also heard the Mancs are in for Sigurdsson.
