A swedish ice hockey player, Mattias Weinhandl, suffered a detached retina a few years ago (he got a hockey stick in his eye). He was out for 6-12 months (can't remember), and he has only got 5% vision left on that eye. But he came back, and last season (he came back to Sweden during the NHL lockout) he finished top scorer in the Swedish Elite League. He is proof that you can come back even after such a serious injury. I have no doubt that Momo will come back as well, even if the injury is that bad. YNWA!

Outside the box I thought he was excellent, but as soon as he entered it he transformed into the worst striker on the planet.

I was very impressed with his play outside the box today. His knockdowns and all around play was very very good. But where the hell has he left his shooting boots?! He should have scored AT LEAST three goals today. But if he can keep playing like this and get a goal soon than maybe, maybe he can start scoring on a regular basis again. It hasn't worked out like that in the past though so I won't keep him my hope up..

Agreed.. would have preferred Hamann to Sissoko. Apart from that I think it's a great team.

Bad miss. It was an excellent cross, Nando had full control but hit it straight at the keeper. Had he hit it a little to either side it would have gone in.

Even though Fowler obviously lacks fitness, he is quicker and more of a threat than Morientes atm. But I can't argue about Rafa's decision to take Robbie off first, he was exhausted. When Robbie gets fit (I truly believe that he will, the question is only how long it will take), he can be the difference between finishing 2nd or 4th this season. Morientes will be gone in the summer. I hope we can get £4m or so from a spanish club.

Riise is our best left back. As soon as Traore or Warnock plays LB, the offside traps get f***ed up. His positioning is way better than Traore's or Warnock's.

I would prefer both Barton and Nolan to Källström tbh. Quite similar players to Gerrard, although of course not at the same level. But they're both good players, and they support us. The problem could be the price.. and maybe the fact that they won't play regularly?

I very much doubt that. He can't even get in to the starting lineup most of the time, Anders Svensson is ahead of him in the pecking order.. and that is saying something. Kim was an exciting prospect with lots of potential, but he has not lived up to the hype at all. A fairly good player, but he's not better than any of our current central midfielders, and I still can't see how anyone could compare him to Didi?! He is and has always been an attacking midfielder, his best attributes are his passing and his vision. He is quite crap at defending.

He's not good enough for us. And I'm saying that as a Swede! And he is in no way similar to Didi. Not the same kind of player at all. Kim is an attacking midfielder.
