  1. Eye of the beholder I reckon - seen both spelled variously, though 'Blert' works better on the eye. meph is good - Meff sounds like a crap cooker.
  2. Who?
  3. yep found it - twitter is now alive with 'news of his sacking' hope this is true...
  4. Hear hear! Harumph!
  5. What's his twitter addy?
  6. 2 year contract. Purslow will be gone by then. So will Carra - maybe even Stevie. Torres - just a thought and flipping it around - but is it not (Elisha's info aside) at least possible that Purslow had to go and convince himto stay so much precisely because Rafa had gone? Anyway - I'd rather have a dynamic manager picking his own players with a good ownership team than the other way around. Especially a manager who undertsands us properly.
  7. 'I know! I know! I can't believe they gave me the job either - me! Ha-ha-ha-ha!'
  8. Perfectly true that.
  9. Unscientific of course, but of about a dozen various fan/supporter sites I've trawled the last few days the lowest percentage for 'Roy out now' was in the 82-85% range - mind you, that may have been before the derby when I saw that one. Most are as high as here.
  10. I bet they can't - I'll bet that fee disappears into their debt vortex along with the Ronaldo money.
  11. Ran out of any pretence of 'politeness' after 4 lines - longer than he deserves!
  12. A quick trawl of various fans sites who've held polls show the 'Roy out' vote is so huge, calling it unanimous almost seems an understatement.
  13. Never understood that either.
  14. Yes, but the dopey c**t's got everything else wrong - why not that? I can't believe 19 masochists have voted no - had no idea we had that many on site.
  15. And beat himself to death with it - live on LFCTV - John Bradley would enjoy that commentary. JB 'Trying to split his own head open but he's missed there and maimed a passing child, - David Fairclough?' DF 'Very much so - seems completely unable to go and attack himself, John' JB 'Well, we're in the 36th year and still no skull penetration, David'
  16. Agree with Vic though - it starts from the top down. If you for one reason or another decide to or have to sell players and then don't receive the funds to either adequately replace or improve on them that's were the rot really begins. IF those messages and befiddlement about the player account is then fed to the manager by an obliging officer that just compounds it, but doesn't actually cause it - the cause resides further back up the tree. In the end, with decent owners giveing all or even a reasonable amount of sales money to buy - or heaven forfend - actually putting in money on top to try and assure improvement - none of the 'slide' happens - or at least is much, much less likely to happen.
  17. I can live with that.
  18. But registered in Liverpool - which has to be better than Delaware or the Caymnas?
  19. baseline obvious you'd have thought that, quite right.
  20. You can't let the 'talent' dictate the management - examples abound as to why not. There's no use having the players in if the new man has no idea how to use them or get the best from them or seven simply if they don't fit his plan. I would rather Gerrard and Torres had gone (if it was even true - I still don't see how Torres would have gone has Rafa stayed and yet stayed to play under Hodgson?) and Rafa had stayed, got the new owners in and rebuilt from there.
  21. Yes.

  25. I'm of a mind that says you don't let the players dictate the shape of the club. They play football - that's what they're overpaid for. Even without Gerrard and Torres who have made little difference to this campaign so far, with Rafa in charge we would not be so low - his worst time at Liverpool was still a lot better than this - in terms of play, points, goals for, goals against - the lot - much of the time without an injured Gerrard or Torres or both. Matt - you would be better than Roy.
