  1. baseline obvious you'd have thought that, quite right.
  2. You can't let the 'talent' dictate the management - examples abound as to why not. There's no use having the players in if the new man has no idea how to use them or get the best from them or seven simply if they don't fit his plan. I would rather Gerrard and Torres had gone (if it was even true - I still don't see how Torres would have gone has Rafa stayed and yet stayed to play under Hodgson?) and Rafa had stayed, got the new owners in and rebuilt from there.
  3. Yes.
  4. I'm of a mind that says you don't let the players dictate the shape of the club. They play football - that's what they're overpaid for. Even without Gerrard and Torres who have made little difference to this campaign so far, with Rafa in charge we would not be so low - his worst time at Liverpool was still a lot better than this - in terms of play, points, goals for, goals against - the lot - much of the time without an injured Gerrard or Torres or both. Matt - you would be better than Roy.
  5. Amazingly, Strachan has beaten him to it according to the beeb.
  6. two or three more poor results and he's gone Kev - they got badgered enough coming out of Woodison (and maybe going in for all I know) and then there's the facebook and Twitter pages of JH getting bombarded. They will be aware that he's a dead man walking.
  7. At least he'd breathe fresh oxygen into the team, and could get us the table before the equinoxe.
  8. Very honest of you!
  9. What makes you thing he's looking for a challenge? Mourinho has a record for going for as close to 'dead cert' as he can get.
  10. Dalglish does want the job - that much we know - and you'd have to think he'd be good at it given who and where he is. Rafa has a two years contract and has already talked of 'coming back'. Pelligrini is available too once we're stable. We can do better than O'Neill now we have proper ownership.
  11. Like Hodgson though, he's not good enough for what we wabt, were we want to be and were I believe NESV want us to be. he's also a c**t. Kenny until (or if it works, it can be him) Rafa or a Rafa quality manager is available. And if the players don't like it they can go this time.
  12. You know, in half a century of supporting this club it had never, ever occurred to me to want to set fire to a Liverpool manager until now. Pitchfork and torch time.
  13. Twittergeddon indeed - wow - it's global too - not just locals. Not to mention his facebookageddon either John Henry's facebook page...
  14. A rhino in a razor-wire condom. Hearing lots of people were making themselves heard about Roy to the new owners after the game - hope so, and hope they act on it.
  15. It's worse that that, Smithy - I honestly feel he believes he's the mutt's nuts.
  16. Broughton has said that Roy is on a deal that would let a new owner lose him without it costing a fortune if they saw fit. They won't need to pay a three year contract off. The stunning thing is Roy thinks it would be a sad day for football and LFC if he got sacked - talk about misjudging it.
  17. Souness - and only reluctantly.
  18. That's it
  19. Cheers - categorical post made
  20. Damn it - agree completely agree.
  21. Don't be secretive about it - say it openly and proud - they shouldn't have sacked one of the best managers we ever had and absoltely not without having a genuine top-draw replacement lined up - not this bargain-bucket s***bag we're currently being embarassed by.
  22. Excellent point. A few people round these parts will now understand the full impact of the line 'be careful what you wish for...'
  23. Exactly so - surely even Cobs will be after his sacking after this. It really isn't getting any better.
  24. No don't worry - it's him allright.
  25. Bottom two, actually Roy - and it doesn't matter what you f*cking believe, it happens to be the truth of the matter. Just go.
