  1. Jesus I fell asleep half way through reading that
  2. It looks like gillet is going to sell now then....... F'ckin ell the echo needs to sort itself out its been a mess since that new lad replaced bascombe Todays backtrack is f'ckin unbeleivable
  3. I dont know what is going on with the echo website Originally the lead news story said gillet had turned it down, now another lead story says he is considering it http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-n...00252-20561764/ but the one saying he turned it down is now the second news story rather than the first one ! http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/ I feel like shooting myself in the head the whole thing is doing my f'ckin head in
  4. it says on sentanta hicks has not formally rejected the offer for his shares, but is unwilling to sell that seems more positive especially if it has come from the hicks camp. sounds like give me more money and i will sell to me that
  5. it looks like the only way we are going to get rid of hicks will be in the long term and to do that we will have to hurt the club we all love financially with a level of protest never seen before, ie a mass and i mean mass boycott of season tickets and club merchandise I dont think the liverpool fans will be able to do that there have been some bad decisions made at liverpool during the last 100 years but moores decision not to go with DIC could be the worst of all
  6. Brilliant signing this We have a great spine now with reina, carragher, agger, mascerano, gerrard, alonso and torres We need to put the finishing touches on it now, wingers first
  7. It will come from the £105 million the club have in the bank for players and to start work on the ground after the refinancing last month
  8. Do not be suprised if Hicks brings someone else in to buy gillet out, seriously.... Been thinking to myself for ages that he may go for 100% control, maybe he hasnt got the money himself directly but he may bring another backer in with him George Bush is out of a job soon isnt he ? F'ckin ell now that would be hilarious
  9. yes but with a new ground, the right investment on the pitch which leads to a period of success DIC are probably looking at turning Liverpool into a Man Utd type turnover/profit club They are probably the only other english club that could be done with due to fan base and trophy winning potential And they also have one eye on future revenue from TV deals etc Also I dont think they will be paying anything like £450 million. Dont forget that £105 million of the new refinancing money was for work to start on the new ground and for player transfers. That was the debt put on the club. I assume, most, if not all of this has not even been spent yet. So in eseence they could pay gillet and hicks debts off with £250 million plus whatever they wanted as profit (say £25 million each as quoted) so they would be paying £300 million for the club. They are not doing this purely out of some romantic notion, they want the club as a trophy asset yes, but they also know they can make money out of it to.
  10. This is all mad........ The only thing I can think of is that he is keeping his 50% and DIC are buying gillet out, but I cant see what is in that for DIC and how that is going to benefit us as a club going forward, who will make the decisions etc Its doing my bleedin head in now !
  11. This content is not viewable to guests.
  12. Gillet is a jammy sod, he hasnt got a pot to p'ss in when compared to the liked of Hicks and DIC and even Aston Villa told him to sod off Moores let him in at the last minute becuase he had hicks with him and he has walked off a year later with £40 million in his ar'se pocket.
  13. From what I have read (the times) they have already granted due dilligence http://timesonline.typepad.com/thegame/200...hristmas-c.html
  14. Im amazed this thread hasnt gone mad All the major broadsheets are reporting DIC have been granted due dilligence and it is received with little more than a whimper in here.

    CL DRAW

I thought we where kept apart, probably because of us, Utd and Chelsea all being in last years semi finals, which appears to be down to the luck of the draw rather than any rules
  16. Huyton_Red

    CL DRAW

Are you sure you can draw other teams from the same country in the quarter final ? you could not last season until the semi final, have they changed the rules for this season
  17. At last this thing looks to be getting sorted out You have to admire DIC's willingness to come back after last time, they must really, really want to get hold of the club We could all go from despair to excitement here and the season could end up on a high note after all It would be a nice boost for the club
  18. This is all getting silly now....
  19. Joking arent yeh, I wont even phone me bird, I hate speaking on the phone so I am hardly going to ring a footy phone in
  20. Everyone has an opinion as a Liverpool fan, thats the way it used to be. The 'bellend' who rings up the phone in as much a fan as the wannabe arthur scargill giving interviews to the echo calling for rafa to be given a new 5 year contract before the protest will stop. Frankly, that interview in the Echo was as much an embarassment to me as was any fan phoning a phone in, same goes for the 'incident' in the Sandon There are splinter groups forming all over the place and its doing my head in, especially as the press seem to give these groups loads of air time and they are acting as some sort of self appointed spokesman on all our behalf. Nah, we have never had this nonsense and I am not into it at all. I will speak for myself thank you very much
  21. SOS, RTK etc etc etc I remember when we all just used to be liverpool fans
  22. I hope this is true but elisha lad you better get prepared for every liverpool forum on the web running 300 page threads on how the other fella said its happening so it must be etc etc. Even though you said you heard it from somewhere else. People who pop their head up and post stuff like that deserve praise cos I wouldnt do it, the stick you get for it from cynical gets like me is not worth the hassle IMO. The cynic in me says that everyone has convinced themselves this is happening due to the huge amount of coverage it is now getting everywhere, even in the national press where they talk of it as more or less done and that is causing all these leaks everywhere. I just want the whole sorry mess to end ASAP and the whole club to move forward together - it would be a nice boost if they could sort it out soon so the team could get a bit of stability for the champions league run in and 4th place fight. It would be nice if this was rtrue - would be a nice boost for the club
  23. Apparently this is a business/city sourced story and not a sports led story which bizzarely will probably make it more likely to be true. As another poster has said it is so specific and leaked from the front rather than back pages that is more likely to be true
  24. Nah They just have more attention seeking posters who like making stuff up or like dressing little tiny bits of info as major inside news by adding a load of rubbish which they later admit is 'their opinion' And we are mostly, and rightly so, a bunch of cynical tw'ats who know that there has never been a genuine exclusive, especially with something as big as this broken on any web forum
  25. You have to play youngsters in order for them to improve I remember when gerrard first broke in to the team and his debut at Spurs I think it was. He was no better then that levia is now being honest. These kids need time to grow, just like fabregas got at arsenal and gerrard got at Liverpool I think we have a potential gem in levia, he will get stronger and fill out and get better and better and I am glad he is getting games as that is the only way he is going to get better, same goes for babbel
