    They've lost control of a situation which they should have been dictating. Bidding war at the start of the summer would have allowed them the room and clarity to negotiate for targets and build a squad. As it is their preseason has been a sh*tshow and they've shown themselves to be a fkin circus.

    Newcastle have made themselves a very unattractive prospect for any potential signing this summer and beyond. Similarly shambolic setups like the mancs have got history and money to compensate. Surely their whole selling point should be come and join us, tear it up and get a move to a big club.

    I genuinely don't begrudge any player a move if they want it. Clubs do exactly the same to players in similar circumstances - look at what's happened at the mancs with the banished five. If you've got to do what you've got to do then fair enough. Newcastle have had long enough to sort it and they are fkin useless.

    I wonder whether Isak's been told by us it's now or never (or no guarantees for Jan/next summer etc) which would explain his nuclear behaviour. I'm not sure if he'll end up here if we don't get him in the next couple of weeks. Don't think we're in a position for a risky stop gap - we've already got one of them in Chiesa.
