  1. Lest we forget, we were being knocked out of the UEFA Cup by the likes of Marseilles and Celtic under Ged whereas under Rafa we can go to Marseilles' backyard and tonk them 4-0. Rafa deserves some long overdue credit.
  2. I think it would be an absolute travesty if we replace Alonso with Barry. Dont get me wrong Barry is a good player but he is very limited compared to Alonso. If you look at our biggest games this season, Alonso has featured in almost every one of those games. I dont think he'll be going anywhere.
  3. Nick Barmby Don Hutchinson Gary Ablett Henchoz
  4. Sergio Aguero in my opinion especially after this comment: I do root for certain teams when watching Champions League for instance, like Liverpool since Fernando plays for them, but I am very content here.
  5. Great article. Love the bit about Rafa being merciless.
  6. Yeah sure. I could have sworn it was Carra's run and pass that Baros flicked to Stevie G which led to the penalty. I must have dreamt it.
  7. What did any of you think when we drew 1-1 against Arsenal at the Emirates. We were confident of going through but also cautiousm knowing that Arsenal could score against us. Translate that to this tie and Chelsea will be feeling exactly the same way. Deep down they must be sh*tting it knowing we have come back from much worse. Whatever happens we have had an unbelievable run. Risse is still a d*ck though.
  8. If they Ballack then they are likely to have a very defensive formation as they will be packing the midfield with Ballack, Lampard, Essien and Makalele. The only wide player they will have is Joe Cole and even he isnt a proper winger. That will play right into our hands. We will have plent of space down the wings which Babel and Kuyt can exploit.
  9. Except it wont happen this time. We'll deffo lose.
  10. I think we'll lose. They are due a win over us.
  11. Since when has 'maintaining fan backing' been a top of the agenda item for these d*ckheads. If they wanted fan backing they wouldnt have spoken to Klingon to replace Rafa and would not be dragging this great club through the mud. They dont give a f*ck about fan backing particularly since they live a million miles away and are unlikely to feel any repercussions from a fans' backlash. They know we have a loyal fan base that will continue to bank roll them. Thats all that matters to G&H. Just my opinion.
  12. If Rafa sides with Hicks he is as good as dead. Gillette could push for Rafa to be sacked and he could well go through with it if he has majority vote unless of course Moores refuses to side with Gillette on this issue. This just gets worse by the day. Well done David Moores, you have left the club in good hands.
  13. Rafa wouldnt do that. If he backs Hicks, he's gone as the Gillette and Parry will have the majority vote to fire him.
  14. B*llocks. He used the same formation at Valencia. Two defensive midfielders Baraja and Albelda, Vincente at left wing, Angulo at right wing, Aimar playing Stevie G role and Carew on his own upfront. That Valencia team was a close nit unit that had played together for three years before Rafa arrived but underachieved. Their defence had also played for years. Rafa will take us to the top. I have complete faith. The man is unique so please give him some credit.
  15. I think we will lose. Deffo. I have a very bad feeling about this.
  16. I thought he was fantastic today. For someone so young to play the way he did against Arsenal was absolutely top drawer. Hopefully he will bulk up a bit and become a regular over the coming seasons. Shows that Rafa is willing to give the youngsters a chance.
  17. Yep but not as big a c*nt as you.
  18. I think we'll lose.

    Coincidence

  20. I am nervous about tomorrow after having read the stats: Rafa has lost twice to Inter in the CL. Last time LFC played Inter at the San Siro we lost 3-1. Inter have reached the quarter-finals in four of the last six years. Inter have played English teams at home 12 times, having won 6, drawn 4 and lost twice. F*ck em this is scary.
  21. Whatever happens the one thing I want DIC to do is pump money into the squad. I genuinely think we are not too far off from being a major force. The last couple of weeks we have been unstoppable and the confidence of the players is clearly there for all to see. I think two major signings next season, a left winger and another striker and we are sorted. I just hope Rafa stays around long enough to reap the results.
  22. I think DIC have been very cute in the way they have handled all of this which bodes well for the future should they take control of the club. It was them that leaked the story about possible interest in buying. They did this to see what reaction there would be from the supporters which has been overwhelmingly positive. They have cleverly waited whilst support for their bid has gathered momentum. Hicks has been playing his games but it doesnt seem to have worked as highlighted by the reaction yesterday. I am hoping DIC have total control by the end of the month which interestingly was the when G&H completed the purchase last year.
  23. Also let us not forget that Tom Hicks supports the most morally ethical George Bush who has bought 'peace' in the Middle East region and Asia through various invasions. And I have heard that the prisoners in Guantanamo receive the best treatment any prisoner can hope to receive anywhere in the world.
