My position on this matter has been the same all along. Hicks is flexing his muscles (or flab in his case - the fat c*nt) to show who's boss and in the process undermining Rafa and treating him like a kid. George is a decent guy and has not said anything bad about Rafa or the club. It is Hicks who is the biggest c*nt in all this. If we thinks he is going to f*ck Rafa over then he is one delluded motherf*cker. I find it completely baffling that people are criticising the manager for taking off the captain in a derby. If we had failed to win the derby, Rafa would have been roundly criticised for not being bold enough with his substitutions. Gerrard would have escaped criticism altogether. It is the manager who is held responsible for the team's performance and he is well within his right to make whatever changes he feels are necessary during a match. The manager should not give two hoots if a player likes being substituted or not.

He has absolutely no choice but to use all his players. The team he put out was as strong a team as he could put and should have won the match. His international players were knackered and therefore he had no time to prepare these players for the game. Besides which top four team has won at Portsmouth this season? Porto away - the toughest game in the CL. These guys are top of the Portuguese league but that doesnt matter because we have a god given right to win every game apparently. Birmingham - our only bogey team in the premiership. No matter when we play these guys we alway come unstuck. That is just the way it is. No matter who Rafa played yesterday we would have struggled to break these guys down. There are certain teams you struggle against. This is one of those teams. Get over it an move on. We will back to winning ways soon. So rotation has got f*ck all to do with it. The combination of the opposition playing out of its skin and certain individuals performing below par are responsible for three draws.
