I'll be going to China and Singapore for a few weeks late August early September. I'll be in Shanghai on the 26. Aug. when Shanghai Shenhua plays Xi'an Chanba. I've asked my local contact to get me a ticket for the game, which as I understand it is a local derby of some sorts. I don't know anything about Chinese footy but apparently Carsten Jancker, the old German striker plays for Shanghai and so do the Croat Jovanovic and quite a lot of south americans. I don't know what to expect but there'll be 35'000 spectators and according to my colleagues who's stationed there, the Chinese have gone mental over footy the last decade, so hopefully it'll be funny as hell Has anyone had the pleasure of going to a game out there?
