OM, Couldnt agree with the stuff in bold more. By the way, in the 80's I am pretty sure there was a shankly chant. Not 100 % but reasonably sure. Oh, 32,000 at OT chanted isnt that only half of the ground?
I know exactly what you are saying. A lot of people use the eye for an eye arguement when it comes to these things, and these people in my opinion are cowards. But I think Anny's point was media related rather than anything. Liverpool fans have taken a fair amount of stick (some of it justfied) and wondered whether it was an entire clampdown. From a personal perspective, I dont like united. However, I wouldnt call them Scum. And when you start labelling them as such a little justification for your actions creep into your mind. I think at 26 I am at the wrong age really to have chanted all the Munich stuff. However, one of my proudest and drunkest moments was at Uefa cup final in dortmund tried to to start the munich chant off and I turned round and gave him a mouth full of abuse and people joined in having a go and he turned tail and went off. And I was proud to make a stand. Daft I know.
The barber must have been furious at the amount of "trims" you had, wishing you would get it cut properly. Superstitions, my missus, if she is at the game, has to ring her dad at half time. We win every game she has done that and lost 3 that she hasnt. Me dad had a set routine throughout the 70's and 80's for away games and we hardly ever lost due to that. Not the fact we were ace. I have to pat a police horse before the game
What????? I watched him take passes of various ranges and from Reina, Carra, stevie, Kewell and everytime he stopped it dead. Work rate perhaps, control? Nah, not having that. Ridiculous amount of having a go, for having a go's sake
2 good crosses, one for crouch and one that Moro should have been on the end of. Thought he did well, its funny, that was our tactic switch the ball to Djibs and then get him to attack, almost making him a focal point and he enjoyed it.
