is true, but not available?
-
he lived and breathed liverpool FC is where i'm at, he can brief on the history and soul of the place . i'm not suggesting they make him MD. the thought sends shivers down my spine
-
Parry knows his onions though. They couldn't really have found anyone better short of digging up Shanks.
-
They would have been signed in a contractual agreement of sorts. They wouldn't be worth breath otherwise.

Rafa lives and breathes football in a way few even understand. He's a tactical genius and has ball of steel. One of the best managers in the game and I'd have him back in a shot.
-
last time manager guranteed soemthing look what happened (Rafa guaranteed 4th last season) so by that rational we're going to come 4th in the Championship this year. oh well, at least we'll be in the payoffs.

I've had some clarification on this from a lawyer who understands footballing matters but specialises in Company Law. I'm sure you understand that i can't copy and paste this info so i have to summarise. Basically the media are all at sea on this one as they will not be party to a few important points - and neither are we so it's a very tricky one to try and guess. It all hinges on two things: 1. The structure of the board of KopFootballHoldings Ltd and whether Broughton had the same rights there as LFC. As we've seen from the posted PDFs there does seem to be a difference but this may just be a case of them not being published by Companies House. Broughton believes all three companies' AoA were updated. (Point of note: The board of LFC most likely did not have the power to sell itself - The company structure is important here. KFH can sell it's asset because of a duty to Senior creditors - RBS / Wachovia, but LFC cannot sell itself) 2. The undertakings to RBS in May when H&G were effectively in default of the loan. i.e.: They would not try and block a reasonable sale, and there will be other undertakings nicely signed into a legally binding contract which we will not know about. i.e.: This could be what Broughton has up his sleave in case of failure on point one. (There is a third option, but more unlikely, is that H&G's shares were effectively handed over to the bank back in May, when they were in default on the loan, and that Broughton has been acting as reciever all this time, but the board issue would not matter in this case as he would likely have had sole power, no vote needed. Hence unlikley) now, here's the interesting thing: Slaugher&May are very confident. Basically when H&G tried to reconstitute the board Broughton would have phoned them. They will have reviewed the docs and reponded to him. This is key, they probably would have taken the docs to chambers and had them looked over by a high court judge - They WILL have these contacts and i'm pretty sure it's standard practice. Not what you know, but who you know. It's also a a matter of seeing if it's worthy of court time - i.e.: a judge reviews the case before it gets to court. To sum up. If Broughton had the rights on the board of KFH that he had at LFC level. It's cut and dry. Else it's down to the undertakings to the bank. Broughton's legal advice would not just have been from a lawyer, but from a lawyer talking to a high court judge. If this is in fact the story, then this case of Broughton's declaration may well be a formality.

This. It's what's best for the company that's at stake.

Sothampton were not profitable, and the holding co was a sham.

I think Americans are starting to understand. LFC and Scumchester are very popular over there and most yanks i have spoken to, mainly in Chicago, always correct themselves and apologise if they say soccer instead of football. There is hope for them yet!
-
The argument should be sound - Broughton sought legal advice before taking them on. Pretty sure they would have thought of that.

dude, lay off the World of Warcraft.
-
Him and Ayres were sacked last night from the board, but stood their ground.
-
Which is outlined in a legal doc someone linked last night.
-
excellently put. love the man.
-
But dude, is that about right for a club with our players? okay a lot of other clubs (tottenham) have spent well, but do they have really that much better squads that ours? Man city and chelsea YES, but teh other top 6 conrtenders?

14 days to pack their bags?

I think that's why the due dilligence is taking so long.

paranoia is an issue for many. I don't understand that people write off broughton. the man's career is built on this kind of stuff, and BarCap too. if they say there are a few bidders, there are a few bidders. Just cos huang pulled out everyone has started wearing knickers and wailing like bitches. According to the timescales this was around the time the preffered bidder was chosen, so f*** Huang... he was probably full of s*** anyway. let the real men do the real business in the proper way and for f***s sake have some patience. if it's not done by oct, then there should be blood - but not until then. above all we should support the team until it's in plain sight that we've been bulls***ted - which right now it most definately is not..

did we have to have 8 home grown senior players? interesting that konch..whatever, and Jones are included in a list only 8 long.
-
Cole is better than Benayoun. Mereiles is a damn good player if he can adapt. Jovanovic is also a good player if he can adapt. Don't understand the poulson signing Jones signing is crazy Konchesky is an improvement in a tricky position, but i think Aurellio will be first choice. No striker is a crime. We should have got Huntelaar instead of the above 3. Think Shelvey and Wilson will figure this year, but we need them to be revalations, which i think Wilson could well be. BUT we didnt have a 7th place squad last year, we had a massively unlucky or underachieving 2/3rd place squad. Losing masch makes us weaker, as it would any team, but i think we are slight;y stronger in attack this year even without the striker. and can i just say, that why would we consider swapping babel for Carlton cole, just plat babel up front FFS.

1. Hmmmm. i have several accounts with NatWest and they have been really good to me over the years... so i don't know if i can do this one. 2. Yes. As with others my families shirts still sport carlsberg. I wish they would hurry up and f*** off as i like the new ones. 3. Yes, well up for that. has it ever been done before? but only after oct 6. 4. Yes. But i have to say, that from what i know about business and the little i've heard on the various grapevines - we will be sold before oct 6.To clarify: I've heard Huang threw his toys from the pram when he was told his bid was not preffered - and all systems are go with the prefferred bidder, who has stuck ridgidly to the NDA.

Any takeover news?

Miereles is a good positive signing. box to box player who can attack and defend(ish). This is a step in the right direction after some miserable news recently.
