Ginu

you can just tell something big is going to happen soon...

That's the first I'm hearing about it. Where did you get that from? I only heard Barca was interested.

Fantastic player from that clip. How much do you reckon he's worth? Truly though, where has he been all season given those exquisite plays? He seems to have created a lot of frustration bar the last few matches. Let's hope he produces that on a regular basis next season. He likes the bottom third of the pitch. It seems his problem is getting there on a regular basis. Next year I think he'll be class. Show more consistency Jermaine!

umm

I just watched Children of Men, but I can't reveal mys ource.

i'd like to buy a vowel... an "e"

FFS what does Parry actually do?

i was at that match at 3:40 of this clip in toronto... made whitbread look like a numpty

If we're talking about his agent, Sevilla has accepted a bid then

There's been 12 pages in the last 2 days and I get sorely disappointed whenever I check the thread, see so much discussion and no signing. Sign somebody already FFS!

quality that. can't wait til next season.

nope the one we wore was adidas and white at the top.

I'm hoping we sign Mancini myself. He's YouTube certified but Malouda looks like a handy #10

The Brazilian Connection: Aurelio to Mancini to Lucas

Didn't Stevie say the first year he was about to leave to Chelsea that he didn't feel wanted by the club because they took so long to offer him a contract? Hasn't Parry learned from that experience yet? Bloody hell!

Is McLaren just a pawn? Granted Becks has had a good year but McLaren just does what he's told doesn't he? No cahones with this guy.

4.5m on a left winger won't get you top drawer against a side like Milan. He got the player he felt we needed in Gonzalez who looked like a bargain for that price considering his performances in Spain. To say it's partly his doing is fine but an excuse in my opinion. He can only buy the players he can with the budget he has, plain and simple.

Make that Tevez, Eto'o and a left winger (Silva) to compete with Harry. Possibly Alves as well. I presume that Rafa has the winger and Tevez deals sorted as the two deals he mentioned. Eto'o as a part exchange and Alves would be perfect. As I said in a previous thread, Tevez for about 15m, Eto'o for Sissoko and 15m and Silva for 10m (and considering Lucas cost 5m) is a total of 45m. With the sale of Cisse for 8m, Bellamy for 10m, Pongolle for 3m, Gonzalez for 2m, that's 23m of sales and a total net spending of 22m. How much extra would Alves cost? 20m? So it's not inconceivable that these players can be brought in within 40m or so. The questions arise, will Crouch stay if we already have Tevez, Eto'o, Kuyt and Voronin? Is Sami happy playing second-fiddle to Agger? How much would Milito cost as a replacement? I reckon if Crouch and Sami were to be sold, it would be for about 12-14m. Adding Milito as a center back won't cost more than 12m. If we spend more than that, it's definitely Championship Manager summer. So all in all, player spending of 40m for Tevez, Eto'o, Silva, Lucas and Milito. I can't see us adding more than 5 players (unless we buy a few more prospects).

I know the new owners have us all thinking Championship Manager, but I don't see us replacing half our team. Riise and Kewell to go as well on top of Robbie, Dudek, Bellamy, Gonzalez and Zenden? Sami and Crouch as well? I don't see it happening. Rafa KNOWS that our slow start was due to too many signings. I think the papers are playing CM right now thinking we're going to have a summer sale and we're getting caught up on it. I think we can expect an Eto'o part exchange deal, Tevez, and a left-winger in Silva and if you add that to Voronin and Lucas already coming in, we can't make that many top 11 changes. I think everybody needs to calm down lol I can see Sami and Crouch moving with the other 5 IF Sami wants playing time and we get a decent offer for Pete. But Crouch is instrumental in the way we play in maintaining possession and I don't think Rafa will sell him. Riise and Kewell are safe.

For me it's too much. Anything more than 3 players going straight into the first 11 and you're asking for a slow start. Eto'o Tevez and Simao for me. I think Alves is out of the picture from Rafa's comments about the value of one of his past targets having skyrocketed. I don't think Rafa believes Alves is attainable anymore. Just a hunch.

If Bellamy and Pennant were our first subs, then we'd have a squad to challenge Chelsea and Manure. They're definitely better than SWP, Fletcher, Sidwell or what ever cr@p those two squads have on the bench. If we bring in Simao, Tevez and Eto'o then we compete. Right now, Rafa's doing amazingly well with the squad he has.

He would make any Championship Manager fanatic jump for joy lol

He wouldn't be able to pass a medical soon then would he... interesting that Rafa wants to tie up his deals fast, could Simao not be one of the two Rafa mentioned? I think he and Tevez have to be...

I have a feeling he had showndown talks with Rafa after the final because his body language during the final press conference left much to be desired.

If we could sign Tevez inside 20m, exchange Momo + 15m for Eto'o and sign Malouda or Ribery for 15m would you do it? With player sales, that would be net spending of under 30m.
