...which is hardly ever like! ahh, that was a classic moment! anyone have a clip of that? would make for a good animated avatar. are you done jinxing him?!
by being too quick for Taylor, i meant that Eduardo had quick feet & dinked the ball away just as Taylor went in for the challenge. i agree w/ Alan Hansen's commentary.
do you know, i mean really KNOW, if that was a malicious tackle? a mistimed tackle, Eduardo being too quick for Taylor, etc. are also plausible explanations. btw, its just as easy to play the witch-hunt card as it is the distraught card.
the league really needs to clamp down on high tackles like the one Taylor made today. career-threatening injuries, like Eduardo's, are bound to happen w/ such reckless challenges, be it intentional or not. agreed. then again, it can also be argued that in the heat of the moment... shocking. even Taylor looks dismayed there.
seriously! what does Benayoun have to do to get on the pitch?! one of our only players who has the guile & vision to unlock a defense like Inter's. & why take Babel off?!
i thought Lucas was efficient in the first half. getting from box to box. he's a perfect partner for Mascherano in the middle. Babel & Gerrard on the wings, w/ a license to roam, should be a our first choice midfield line-up. we need more cutting edge in the final third, which is why Benayoun for Kuyt would make sense. how many clear cut chances did we make in that first half even though we were a man up for most of it? wow. Babel won the ball off of Zanetti without even touching him & the ref gives them a freekick!
Babel's been excellent so far. possibly our best player of the half. he's really taking on defenders (& beating them). agreed. Benayoun on for Kuyt. pleeeeease!
