So that is why Old Toilet season ticket holders said his legs had gone for the 2nd half of the season and was generally cr*p?

While everyone is so concerned about our lack of spending - here is a League table(From the Guardian) of how much the PL winners have spent in the preceeding summers - Utd actually spent nothing when they did the double in 95/96!!! 1995-96 Manchester United, n/a 1992-93 Manchester United, £1.1m (Pat McGibbon and Dion Dublin) 1999-2000 Manchester United, £1.5m (Quinton Fortune) 2003-04 Arsenal, £2.5m (Cesc Fábregas, Phillipe Senderos, Jens Lehmann and Gaël Clichy) 1993-94 Manchester United, £3.75m (Roy Keane) 1994-95 Blackburn, £5.3m (Chris Sutton and Robbie Slater) 1996-97 Manchester United, £7.5m (Raimond van der Gouw, Ronny Johnsen, Ole Solskjaer, Karel Poborsky and Jordi Cruyff) 2000-01 Manchester United, £7.8m (Fabien Barthez) 1997-98 Arsenal, £14.55m (Alex Manninger, Manu Petit, Giles Grimandi, Luis Boa Morte, Alberto Mendez, Marc Overmars, Lee Canoville and Christopher Wreh) 2006-07 Manchester United, £18.6m (Michael Carrick) 2001-02 Arsenal, £22.25m (Francis Jeffers, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Sol Campbell and Richard Wright) 1998-99 Manchester United, £27.75m (Jaap Stam, Jesper Blomqvist and Dwight Yorke) 2002-03 Manchester United, £30m (Rio Ferdinand) 2005-06 Chelsea, £53,4m (Asier del Horno, Scott Sinclair, Lassana Diarra, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Michael Essien) 2004-05 Chelsea, £89.05m (Petr Cech, Arjen Robben, Paulo Ferreira, Mateja Kezman, Didier Drogba, Tiago, Ricardo Carvalho)

Ah, but that is because they also have the mental age of 5 year olds!

Hear Hear!!!!!

Well this is sure to help bids for Tevez or Benayoun
Spiblish replied to Gilps 's topic in Liverpool FC
The only people they should be mad at are there own board(as was) and also Egg as surely the due diligence should have flagged up this "issue". They might not be in this situation if they had actually repoprted the problem themselves! -
I agree with Anny. Lets put some perspective on this and look back 12 months. We had sign, Speedy, Bellamy, Pennant and Kuyt. Utd had signed ....Carrick ha ha ha. No chance of them doing anything this season. We'll be fighting it out with Chelski for the title while they slide into oblivion. It was their fans spouting the same sh*t we are reading on here. Roll a fat one and chill boys, the summer is long and new signings ain't the be all and end all, it is the spine of the team that is most important and Reina, Carra, agger, Masch, Stevie, Xabi, Dirk, Finnan - not a bad backbone that with Crouchy and Jermaine in reserve. We'll be fine!!!!
-
Well apparently a signing like Malouda is the kind to keep him happy so.......
-
That is actually quite funny - a decent contribution at last, well done!!
-
I have now decided you are right. You obviously know the workings of the club inside out. You know the thoughts and feelings of every player we are linked with and where he will choose to go. You are in fact God! I humbly offer myself as your servant. On another note, so West Ham have said Tevez is not going to Liverpool, West Ham said Pardews job was safe and he was very instrumental in keeping them up wasn't he!!!
-
can you not read I say "may" be proved wrong. You are just making things up to suit your odd agenda!
-
So now you may be proved wrong re Malouda you are changing the subject that you can moan we have been too slow moving for! We have completed more high class signings this week than any other Premiership club this week - fact. Now that is sorted time for the new faces!!!!
-
I thought exactly the same as Kev and of course they all talk - they are mates for Gods sake!!!! As for Andy - think he needs to up teh tablets
-
Does this back it up?? Baines nicked from Barcodes!!!
-
...and just look back 12 months when we were all laughing because all United had managed to sign was Carrick, we'd conned them into paying too much for Vidic a few months earlier and Ronaldo wanted out and would sulk all season!!! Really held them back didn't it!!! Knee jerk reactions - don't you just love them!!!!
-
Apparently a lot of his injuries are "in the head" and slur has got fed up with this. The problem has not been up front for us anyway - we do not score enough from midfield. Luis has been a big miss, he would have been invaluable last Wednesday as definitely a corere of big goals and our best source of midfield goals IMO. Look at the players who have played most in the midefield - Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko, Zenden, Masch, Gonzalez - only Stevie G has scored more than a couple - Riise is a better goal threat from midfield than any of the others.
-
Rafa understands how this club loves its own and Michael is one of those lets be honest. I think we will see him return this summer - no info just a hunch.
-
wasn't Villa on a similar run until recently? Owen scores goals - fact - always has always will and at £9M - cheap!!!
-
Couldn't disagree more. Duff left Chelski because he could not cope with rotation, he would not have coped here!!!
-
Harry is class and if he is fit world class. Thank God it was him we got not Duff - look what has happened to him!!!!
-
Does anyone have a picture of the flag with five european cups on with wording along the lines of "you can only fream of what we achieve"? Need it to wind up Mancs and Chavs who have suddenly decided the FA Cup is the big one again!!!!
-
Lets be honest he is on his way, and IMO the club are the ones making sure it happens. Fat Sam has probably decided MO is too small for his prototype striker and he will need to raise money as he needs a whole new defence. Sami + £6M perhaps. I think if Rafa wants him and more importantly he thinks MO wants to play for teh club he will be back. Personally, I hope he does return as I think he would still have a lot to offer.
-
Is this a tick follows tock moment????
-
I may be wrong but isn't Wenger actually in charge of the Arsenal youth system which is tailored purely to produce 1st team footballers. Isn't the Ajax system such that all teams at all levels play the same way. Rafa wants to create a legacy and controlling the whole "playing" side of the club will help him achieve this. Unfortunately Heighway seems bitter - to fall out with 1 manager is one thing, to fall out with 2 just makes you think!!!
-
That is an absolute Joke - Craig is a footballer, Djibril is merely an athlete!!!
