Teams often raise their game when they feel they have something to prove or they come out with the ‘lets do this for the coach attitude’ Are you some sort of coward? f*** the ‘it might be easier’ attitude – lets go into the lions den and take the points, we have nothing to fear and as someone who will actually be attending the game I want us to play at their ground, I want to beat them on their home soil just like our players and management want to.

UEFA statement European football's governing body issued the following statement on Thursday: "Following the decision of UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body to sanction Club Atlético de Madrid for a series of incidents at the UEFA Champions League Group D match against Olympique de Marseille on 1 October, the club has lodged an appeal against the decision and requested suspension of the sanctions to allow their match against Liverpool FC to be played in Madrid as originally scheduled. "After immediate consideration of the request for suspension, and having considered in particular the organisational and logistical difficulties related to relocating the Club Atlético de Madrid v Liverpool FC match to another venue at short notice, the chairman of the Appeals Body has decided to grant the request for suspension of the sanctions. "Consequently, UEFA can confirm that the UEFA Champions League match between Club Atlético de Madrid and Liverpool FC will take place as scheduled on 22 October at the Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid. "It should be emphasised that suspension of the sanctions does not mean that the decision of the Control and Disciplinary Body has been set aside. The decision remains in force pending a full hearing of the appeal which will take place on Friday 31 October at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. "UEFA is however keen to stress that safety and security matters, including efficient cooperation with the police, are of the utmost priority and that there is a zero tolerance policy for incidents concerning racism in football. The match between Club Atlético de Madrid and Liverpool FC will be under particular scrutiny and UEFA is ready to take immediate and further action if there are any reported incidents at this match."

Sky Sports are saying UEFA they have had a change of mind and we will be playing there next week! That (if true) would prove that doing things the right way can work!

I am going, I'm possibly out of pocket but I know there is a right way to go about things, I don’t know what petty organisation you think we're trying to run here but you don’t go around shouting your mouth off! I’ve been going on these trips for years and have seen my team play all over Europe, with all due respect you’re coming across like a kid who knows little and certainly hasn’t been there! You go through the official channels and you make sure you do everything by the book, you don’t give them an opportunity to come back at you!

I'll take my chances, I travel all over Europe following my team and that included the Juve away game a few years ago, I had no concerns whatsoever about travelling to Madrid for this game.

Parry added: “We are extremely concerned for our supporters, the vast majority of whom have already made travel arrangements. “What thought is being given to their needs? We are writing to UEFA to express our concern on this score.”

Parry has already spoken out today and is in contact with UEFA - they are no more happy with the decision than we are but this isn't our fault.

What do you want us to do John? LFC don’t want the hassle of this either but lets be fair its hardly something we seen coming, they’ll do that they can, I’m sure.
