  1. Because they don't like us and know that we will be much much stronger with him in our squad.
  2. The circus from the press desperate for us to not sign him.
  3. Apparently, Guehi prefers a move to Real Madrid next summer according to the Mirror. And so it begins.
  4. I reckon Guehi will jump at the chance to come. I would suspect his relationship with Glasner is broken and he will try to be professional and do his best . First chance he gets to get out of there, he will take it.
  5. Wonder what kind of fitness Parish was doing in Soho.
  6. Not yet, but I have prepared something for him. If he doesn’t post this, I will be disappointed. To the fans, You have stood by me from the very beginning, and for that I will always honour you. Wearing this shirt has been a privilege, and your passion has been my heartbeat. I must also thank Chairman Parish, a man who treated me fairly and gave me his blessing to pursue my dream of moving to Liverpool. He stood tall, ready to do what was right. But let me be clear, this was stopped due to one man’s selfishness. He put a gun to the chairman’s head, not in the flesh, but in spirit; with threats, fear, and manipulation. He crushed the will of others to get his way. That is not leadership. That is tyranny dressed in football clothes. And while may Lord is my shelter, I can never forgive that betrayal. Still, I declare my dream of playing for Liverpool. You can cage a man, you can chain a man, but you cannot kill the fire God places in one’s heart. One day, in His timing, that door will open again and no one will be able to close it. To my teammates, I thank you for your loyalty. To the fans, you deserve honesty, and now you have it. And to the manager, know this: what you meant for harm, God will turn for good. I walk with anger in my chest, but faith in my soul. The Lord is my strength, my defender, and my redeemer. With truth and with fire. Addji Keaninkin Marc-Israel Guéhi.
  7. Haaland is a better finisher, no doubt. However, Isak’s all round game is much better. This is the one thing Haaland has been criticised for.
  8. Best striker in the league by a country mile and possibly the world. (Sorry Ekitike, your the 2nd best in the world ).
  9. The fact that Merson gets paid at all is a mystery.
  10. I think his head will explode if Woltemade succeeds and ends up moving to a bigger club in a couple of years.
  11. Here you go. https://res-us.deep-api.com/images/2025090112/e45dc51a80cf4acca094043d0a32413f.mp4
  12. Its rubbish though. If you are serious about buying a player, you would put a bid in of say 120 million and make it public. At least show some intent to the player who has burned all bridges to come to you. Being silent and doing f*ck all since the initial 110 million bid is not the right way to go about it.
  13. Till after the window closes and then we can say "ah they approached us too late to do a deal." What utter horses***e. If this is the kind of noise coming from the club, then Isak is not coming. In what world does a selling club come to a buying club to sell their best player?
  14. Let’s see how the season pans out when one of our starting center backs goes down and we don’t have cover or our only striker gets injured.
  15. Excellent position? Really? As it stands, we haven’t even put a 2nd bid in for Isak.
  16. So it took us 2 days before the transfer window closes to put a 2nd bid in which essentially just adds a 10% sell on clause, when we knew full well what Palace’s asking price was. Either Richard Hughes is a pretty sh*t f***ing negotiator or we were chancing it by leaving it this late and hoping we back Palace into a corner.
  17. In short yes. Spending money on depth and quality players shows ambition. Focusing on net spend demonstrates bottom line is more important than winning trophies.
  18. It’s not all down to other clubs f***ing us. It is as much down to us trying to be clever but not having a plan B.
  19. Let’s wait until Monday and then we can see where we are.
  20. Why so? Let’s break it down. Previous summers our net spend was the lowest from all the big 6. We always had a model of selling to buy. This season, with all the fanfare of signings, we have only signed 5 players but have a net spend of £70m, and a significantly weakened squad. That net spend is not too different from the previous seasons. Compare this to say Arsenal who have a total net spend of £250m this season and have just signed a Hincape (a defender we were linked with for years). By comparison, they have a much bigger and deeper squad. Without Isak and Guehi, we will struggle to compete on 1 front, let alone 2.
  21. Or maybe FSG have kept everyone’s hopes up like they have in the previous summers. They will put an optical bid on Monday to show that they were serious but it was too late to conduct any business.
  22. Maybe this was FSG’s plan all along. Start the summer with a splash to get everyone excited and then revert to type I.e. sell to buy and end up with a net spend of a mid table side. They have done this for the last 9 seasons, why change now. It’s not like we won the f*****g league that we can build on!
  23. Yes we are spotting the big picture here: - Your club is desperate to sign A striker because you know you will lose Isak - Your club has behaved like a bunch of amateurs in their handling of Isak and signing replacements - Every club and their dog know you are desperate to sign someone (anyone) so they are jacking their prices up - you are not signing Wissa and Larsen to replace Wilson.
  24. Guess that’s all Falks.
  25. That is Saudi’s for you. Not trying to be discriminatory but I have worked with them and know how they behave. They would be more than happy to make a loss as long as they feel they have won. If we were dealing with rationale competent people, we would have agreed a deal. Sadly, Newcastle’s owners don’t fit in either category. I think Isak deal is dead, full. I can’t see us going for him next summer. We are likely to have more competition for his signature next summer.
