Agree with the sentiment of this thread. Thank f*ck it's over indeed. I was around when Souness was having a mare and can remember how abysmal things were then. But this season has been far, far worse. I just don't know where to begin.. Owners that couldn't give a flying f*ck about this great club, internal politics destroying any sense of everyone working towards the same goals, shocking transfer policies (admittedly underpinned by tightening of purse strings), underperforming players (yes that includes Gerrard), negative tactics most weeks and of course a squad littered with "average" some would say s*** players. It really has been brurtal. I look forward with dread to the draw for the Qualifying Round of the Europa League when we draw some part time Estonian outfit. Jesus, we've sunk so low. God know's what will happen in the summer but as low as I am today, I'll be back for more. There's not much to be positive about but I guess all we can do is remember these times and if/when the good times come back, it will be all the more sweeter. This great club will rise again people.

Haven't read all the posts here.. Just heard the news and I am gutted for the millionth time this season. The cherry on top of the horrible cake of this f*ckin God awful season. What next.

F!ckin just so s***....... But if we're honest about it if we had somehow scrambled 4th it would've been a terrible reflection on the Premiership given how God awful we've been this year. It says much about our season when you consider we've been far, far worse this season. I'd never advocate saking any manager on the basis of 90 mins of football but by f!ck after the Wigan game, I came close. Clutching at straws a bit here lads but maybe a pathetic finish of 6th or 7th will lead to a massive shake up of things which we all agree is urgently needed. One step back to go two steps forward??? Ahhh f!ck this..... I'm away for beer.

I stay up in Scotland and have seen quite a bit of him this season. There's no doubt about it, the boy's a quality player with a great future in the game. He could do really well at Liverpool but I reckon another year or 2 with Rangers would be best for him and Liverpool, the step up right now may be a little too much. Could maybe buy him then loan him back or something??

Exactly.... It's all very well talking about dignity, class etc but I for one have seen more then I can stomach of those f*ckers scooping trophies. I think the fact that our mantle as Englands most successful team is slipping away and it hurts, more so because it's to them. Perhaps if it was Arsenal or Tottenham or even the Chavs it wouldn't eat away so much... Besides, the f*ckers get enough favours elsewhere (aside from today admittedly). So in summary. F*ck them.

I agree with where you're comming from but look at it another way... The way we're going we might just become another Everton anyway, as in merely a top 6 club who may scoop a cup competition every now and then. We are currently the most successful team in England and I'm very proud of that. I want to prserve that fact for as long as possible or (preferably) until we get our house in order... yes, I guess to my shame, at any cost.

First post here and for my tuppence worth, it wouldn't bother me at all if we were to lose that game with the outcome being the mancs lost the league because of it. Huge repect to the guys who believe that it would reflect terribly on the club and it's small time, I actually agree with them. In my case, my hatred gets the better of me. I despise them and would sell my soul to the devil himself if it were for the good of our club and to the detriment of theirs. Besides... In all seriousness, have we not seen those f*ckers win enough league tittles durring our "lean" spell!?!? We're f*cked for the forseeable future so I'm firmly on the side of anyone but them. I know how bitter and twisted I sound!!!!!!
