RH after match interview on BBC stated we had expensive money signings on show yesterday with big reputations which were bought to the club and that perhaps he doesnt know them well enough! Whch ones apart from Babel and why doesn´t he know them well enough yet? Agger and Lucas were both around 5m? Wouldn´t class that as expensive signings But, how many weeks does the man need to "get to know the players"? Jeez!!!! I never saw the game but why is he insisting on playing 442 when we don´t have the wingers for such a formation in the mould of a Giggs or a Young! Pacheco, Babel and Jova are all players more adapted to a front 3 behind a striker. Personally, I reckon he needs to play a 4231 on Saturday and play Raul and Gerrard as the 2 with a 3 from either Cole, Jova, Kuyt, Maxi and Pacheco. How exactly does this work with the media? Rafa won the Euroepan Cup with Houlliers players so Houllier should take the credit but Hodgson is losing games with Rafa´s so Rafa should take the blame?

Its irrelevant whether the players on the pitch were rafa´s or not based on the names on paper we should have won the game it was lost due to bad management!

Well according to BBC stats they´ve had twice as many shots as us even though 5 of the 6 have been off target whereas we´ve actually had 2 on target with 1 of em being the goal.

Why are people spouting what about this player and that player and why wasn´t he signed and so on. We didn´t sign one whether for reasons the player didn´t fancy sitting long period on the bench, lack of funds due to preferences of paying off debts, or whatever. Perhaps Babel will finally find his feet as a support striker for when Torres is rested/injured. He´s already got his name on the scoresheet be it after a severly dire performance, but right place and good finishing all the same. In any case, we have what we got and need to support the players and manager.

Thats if he would have been interested in coming to us in the first place and to sit on the bench for the majority of games or perhaps he just preferred to go to a club where he could get playing time.

Good post. Totally agree another striker was needed but the problem in getting one and trying to please everyone is spot on.

Fulhams new LB wouldn´t have helped with our english quota and Raul? Too slow and would´ve settled in to life in the Premiership worse than Morientes.
