They have also benefited from getting the f*** out of the domestic cups as quickly as possible. They played 11 games from Jan to the March international break. We had 18 in the same period. Obviously it’s a step change for them now in terms of having many more midweek games to contend with, but they will be fairly fresh in terms of minimal miles in their legs thus far. We’ve got to hope if they do falter it’s in a league game, but it’s equally likely that their off day comes in the CL.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, must be loads more like this where it’s been swept under the carpet. This is just the first time the error was so blatant to the point they’ve had to release the audio because of how bad it was.
