Possible maximum of 18points adrift of Chelsea , could even be down to 9 points come next Sunday evening.

 

If only that blip which cost us the League Title and also seen us knocked out of the Champions League by a meadiocre but organised squad of players from Lisbon.

 

Strikers may come and go , Cisse , Morientes and Pongo should be of the latter with Mellor making up the quartet. Robbie Keane + Robbie Fowler would be my choices with possibly David Villa or Dirk Kuyt , it will alll depend on yet again pounds and pence a strong world cup for the last two and forget it.

 

The money men at Anfield need to make a statement of intent pretty soon regarding a few matter, the AGM in January was glossed over with all the enthusiasm of our Champions League success with so many pats on the back 8 months further on.

 

1. Do we look to have any possible investment in the very near future ?

2. Do we have the funds too compete for top players ?

3. Are we going ahead with the White Elephant across the park ? if so when ? the longer this protracts on the more expensive it is becoming.

4. How much is the hike going to be on our season tickets ?

 

In my opinion i think we have progressed this season , with or without the FA Cup , there is a strong light at the end of the tunnel and only with the financial aid can Rafa and his team pull us through to greater heights next season.
