Question re Ronaldhinho

When he was being sold by PSG and United were on the brink of signing him, what was the fee that was being speculated on?

 

The reason I ask is I seem to recall it was quite reasonable in relation to what his current value might be.

Started off at £9mill and kept going up eventually hitting something like £20mill.

 

Before the WC ged said that ronaldinho was going to go on to be the new maradonna. So then he bought Diouf.

To be fair, the way we were playing at that time I don't think we would of got the best out of him.

Don't recall too many describing ronaldinho in those terms, tbh, but maybe I missed them.

 

I realise he probably wouldn't have come, but hey, he persuaded VDV and there was 'no way in a million years a player like that would want to sign for us'
