Guest Kev Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Listening to Radio City on the drive to work and Aldo mentioned that Alonso went off injured and had an icepack placed on his leg. Rafa in the post match interviews said we will have to wait until tomorrow for a clearer picture
Maldini Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I got the impression from Rafa's interview that it's just a strain, he said something like "We have a lot of tired players and Xabi is one of them" Probably more of a precaution than anything else.

Earl Hafler Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 To be perfectly honest i hope he's rested. Some important games coming up and Didi can play against the Mancs.

Redwire Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 They put an ice pack on his knee as soon as he came off but he didn't go straight down the tunnel so hopefully it isn't too bad. He was grimacing a little as he came off.
Elisha_Scott Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 SG also has a knock, he is in for treatment tomorrow, hopefully its just a dead leg.

He was grimacing a little as he came off. Yup, just an icepack. Hopefully just a niggle that will go away by Saturday. If not, I've got faith in Didi to slot in and to be perfectly honest Xabi hasn't been playing that well recently.
Guest Kev Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 SG also has a knock, he is in for treatment tomorrow, hopefully its just a dead leg. Was that during the first half, I saw him limping a few times. I was honestly expecting him to come off.
Andyjandy Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 SG also has a knock, he is in for treatment tomorrow, hopefully its just a dead leg. Aye hope so, need him against the mancs if alonso is out.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I don't think a sore leg will keep Gerrard out of the game on Saturday
tag Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 SG also has a knock, he is in for treatment tomorrow, hopefully its just a dead leg. I'd play Hamann/Sissoko in the middle this weekend.
Maldini Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I'd play Hamann/Sissoko in the middle this weekend.Nah, United don't really have a dominant central midfielder, I think Xabi might get a bit of time on the ball, assuming he's fit.
