DVD burning question

I am copying some back up dvds off my pc to dvd disc thru Nero.

 

They were burning at 8 speed. This has now cut itself down to 2 speed and is taking 35 minutes a disc, has anyone got any ideas how I can speed this up?

 

It is driving me mentaler
