Did we only get Fowler because we couldn't get Theo Wallcott...

But If Fowler was indeed Rafa's first choice wouldnt we have got him sooner rather then later?

Of course im just sepculating but I have no reasons to believe that Rafa didn't want Wallcott, not only is he younger then Fowler, but he is exciting and has a Henry esq feeling about him, his dometic attriubtes as in the games he is illegible and in-leggible for is equal to Fowler and in my view Wallcott would of been a good signing and would offer much more in the futre then Fowler.
