LFC shirts and champions of europe prints

at the start of the season, i bought a home LFC top from JJB (aintree store) in liverpool and had european champions 05 put on the back. At the time the club shop were also doing the same prints.

 

Just before xmas, i went into the same JJB store to buy the new champions league top and asked for champions of europe 05 to be put on the back

 

I was told by one the staff there that JJB can no longer print the above, only players names and numbers. They said teams in the prem have complained to the prem league and JJB have been threatened with legal action if they do.

 

I looked at the LFC club store, they still seem to be doing the same prints for tops but not 4 the new champions league shirt, says its design doesn't allow for it, can't see why not!!

 

anyone come accross this????

I remember the store in town (next to the club shop) was refusing to put Champs 05 on shirts as well, and people where kicking off. They didn't say it was cos the league had complained though! Just that they would only do players names and numbers. Just seemed they could't be arsed more than anything, cos in the end they gave in, as people where kicking off so much.

 

 

So bugger knows why they can't do so
