Got 'Dream Boogie', the new biog of Sam Cooke by Peter Guralnick, last week. I've only just started it, but it's bound to be good as Guralnick is always reliable. I love Sam's music and career too.

 

Anyone else read it or any other Guralnick stuff?

 

Also for the few jazzers on here does anyone else like Andrew Hill? Listening to a box set of some unreleased Blue Note stuff at the moment. There's one track called 'Illusion' with strings that's sublime.

 

You see his Blue Note albums in FOPP for a fiver. Well worth it. Especially 'Passing Ships'.
