Maybe not, but then saying he'd make the same decision again hardly implies he wants to come back.

And loads of players have publically admitted they made a mistake when moving, it wouldn't even have to be like that either, could just say he's a bit homesick etc, etc.

I think Owen bristles with professional pride. And according to some the major major reason for his return is his wife. So maybe if it were up to him he'd stay
