Funny he cites a shortage of talent at centre half - seemed like that was the one position where we had half a dozen different possibilities to choose from, and ended up with Coates totally our of left field.

Must say I was a bit dubious when he first came but have been hugely impressed by commoli

the only other centre back that we bid for was phil jones, and sadly he does seem like a good talent

 

others that we were linked with (Cahill, Showcross, Dann) are all decent players, but not an improvement on what we have

 

can't wait to see coates though if he is twice as good as the jones
