Retrieving Mail from a Corrupt Outlook Install

I have Outlook and Microsoft Office (2000) installed on a Wndows 7 PC. Outlook now locks up when it is opened.

Problem signature:

Problem Event Name: BEX

Application Name: OUTLOOK.EXE

Application Timestamp: 3678217f

Fault Module Name: StackHash_2968

 

Seems a lot of other people have this issue

 

 

The PC has Windows Live Mail now, so I'm not looking to fix Outlook, but my question is where is the mail in Outlook stored on a Windows 7 PC and is it a simple task to copy that mail and paste it into the Windows Live Mail app folders (which are where ) ?

Outlook always stores the entirety of your mail folder including calendars, tasks etc in that one PST file. You can import it into your Windows Live Mail folders using the Import/Export facility in the File menu.

Dumb as I am I couldn't find the File Menu on Live Mail so I did a less efficient work around of importing it into MS Outlook on another PC as per info at the following link :
