To refrain from building the team around Gerrard....... I love him he is a legend but at 30 its time to put him in centre mid keep him there and build around Torres @ 26.

I think he plays better with someone up top with him someone to hold it up, flick it on, be a threat from crosses

With Agger Injury record and Carraghers age David Luis at 10 mil and 23 is not a big gamble imho, Left Back has been a problem for 15 years if not more no clue, cursed position along with actual wingers but 4-4-2 is not big managers preference at the moment so i could be waffling s***

This is presuming we have money and get rid of the cancer at the club.

really trying to detract from takeover/purslow/broughton talk and focus on the team and our players

gibbo i did say i was waffling s*** and it might take a bit a pressure off him maybe less injuries from trying too hard

Ah so it was theory rather than reality, ok

I always thought Crouch and Torres should work as a partnership. Maybe it wasn't given anough of a chance, but it didn't seem to

Generally the last thing Torres has looked like wanting is a strike partner, but we should avoid using him as a battering ram like did last season

Wide men getting closer to him and more short passes should do this

£10m?

He's being linked with Real and City for about 4 times that.

thats what i read in papers

battering ram approach definitely not right for Torres, the thing with Crouch was he never filled the part he was built for more likely to bring it down than flick it on.

I have always thought Torres would click with someone like Riedle in his heyday.... clever onetwos, excellent in the air an allround intellegent player
