Not only that, there was an article in the Times world cup supplement yesterday w***ing all over Rooney but with a snippet mentioning that Rooney's "unbeatable" Schools goal-scoring record at u 11's had been beaten - by a little lad on Liverpool's books. His name's Gerrard as well but that's his 1st name.

 

The future is bright if only we can find decent owners.....

I don't think the quality of the owners should impact on our ability to produce good players. Hopefully we'll start seeing more coming through as it's been far too long since we have had a solid foundation of homegrown players, but that's unlikely given the clamour for big name signings in every position. I envy some of the smaller clubs who are under less pressure to constantly produce that special talent and can develop players who will hopefully give them years of service.
